Pivot Legal Society – BC Supreme Court rules homeless have right to public spaces.

On October 21st, 2015, the British Columbia Supreme Court ruled in favour of a group of homeless people challenging municipal bylaws that displace them from public spaces. Pivot Legal Society (a leading Canadian human rights organization that uses the law to address the root causes of poverty and social exclusion in Canada) lawyer DJ Larkin represented this group in their lawsuit challenging the City of Abbotsford bylaws.
